Architect: Molly LaPatra | Location: East Lake Union | Interior refresh of a vintage Seattle houseboat. Removed interior partitions on both floors to create an open concept and fill the house with natural light, including the addition of two skylights. All windows and doors were replaced and an open steel staircase was used to replace the existing. All hardwood flooring was restored and new carpeting added to the second floor. Both bathrooms were expanded and completely redone with milestone floors, custom cabinetry and a bright rain shower in the master.

Capital Hill Kitchen Upgrades

Architect: In House | Location: North Capitol Hill neighborhood| Vintage meets modern in these kitchen updates to the Viceroy, Glengarry, and Glen Arms apartments built in the 1930’s; a project totaling 90 units. Upgrades include granite counter tops, stainless steel fixtures and appliances, playful checkerboard floors and cherry hardwood cabinets as well as updated electrical service, devices and recessed lighting. 



Architect: Cheryl Hughes, Seattle | Location: Leschi neighborhood | 6400 SF | Steep terrain, landslide area Technical Features: Complex 60’ deep concrete pile foundation; Imported cement board siding installed on a rain screen system; Lindal windows executed at an unusually large scale, pushing the manufacturer’s abilities to new levels; Oil-finished end-grain fir floors. Simple and precise execution of the details create a warm nurturing environment.

Brain Refresh

Architect: Molly LaPatra, Seattle | Location: Broadview neighborhood | 2200 SF | It was time for the house at The Brain property to get a kitchen and basement remodel. The kitchen remodel was carefully executed with Nana bi-fold exterior doors, commercial kitchen exhaust hood, combination wood and milestone floors and counter tops, fir cabinets, and windows to frame the environment outside.
